An independent, non-partisan platform for evidence-based policy.
A national platform for evidence-based policy dialogue, research, and stakeholder engagement
Forum for Policy Insight (FPI) Bangladesh is a national, independent, and non-partisan platform dedicated to connecting research, ideas, and stakeholders in support of evidence-based policy development and sustainable economic progress. Established to bridge the persistent gap between policymakers and the operational realities faced by businesses, financial institutions, and communities, FPI Bangladesh provides a structured space for informed dialogue, rigorous analysis, and practical recommendations.
Bangladesh's economic and financial landscape is evolving rapidly. Policy frameworks must keep pace with ground-level realities — from the opportunities created by new bilateral trade agreements to the challenges of industrial competitiveness, investment climate reform, and financial inclusion. FPI Bangladesh exists to ensure that this conversation is grounded in evidence, inclusive of diverse perspectives, and oriented toward actionable outcomes.
FPI Bangladesh is not an advocacy body. It is a knowledge platform — one that brings together the right people, the right research, and the right dialogue to inform decisions that matter.
FPI Bangladesh operates as a foundation-based institution governed by an independent Governing Board, with research and technical committees and a professional Secretariat. It is open to national members, regional members, corporate and industry members, associate members, and honorary members — ensuring that its work reflects the breadth of Bangladesh's economic stakeholders.
FPI Bangladesh's founding Governing Board and Secretariat are currently being constituted, drawing on senior professionals from economics, trade policy, finance, and public administration.

Transparency in governance
Operations, finances, and decision-making processes are conducted with accountability and openness.
A foundation-based institution.
FPI Bangladesh is established as a foundation-based institution governed by four bodies:
- 1
The General Membership Forum
The broadest representative body of FPI Bangladesh's membership community.
- 2
The Governing Board
The principal authority responsible for strategic direction, institutional oversight, financial governance, and the approval of major programs, policies, and publications. Board composition ensures balance, competence, independence, and appropriate sectoral and regional representation.
- 3
Research and Technical Committees
Specialist bodies that guide FPI Bangladesh's analytical work across its functional areas. All research outputs undergo internal peer review and Governing Board sign-off prior to publication.
- 4
The Secretariat
The professional operational body responsible for day-to-day management, event delivery, publications, and stakeholder engagement.
FPI Bangladesh may enter partnerships, memoranda of understanding, or co-organization arrangements with domestic and international institutions, industry bodies, chambers of commerce, development partners, and research organizations — subject to Governing Board approval and consistent with the platform's principles of independence and neutrality.
Funding and Financial Governance
FPI Bangladesh's financial resources are derived from membership fees, event-based income, training programs, research funding, grants, and other lawful sources approved by the Governing Board. All funds are used solely for the platform's objectives and managed in accordance with approved budgets, financial controls, and applicable Bangladeshi law. Annual financial statements are audited by a qualified independent auditor and made available to members. No income or assets are distributed to members except for legitimate operational or program-related purposes.
The founding Governing Board and Secretariat are currently being constituted.
